ERIC J. WEDEN, P.E. PRINCIPAL
Eric Weden, principal of Weden Engineering, LLC, is a
professional engineer with over 18 years of experience in civil engineering,
land-use planning and project management. After earning his B.S. degree in civil
engineering from Washington State University, he worked in the heavy-civil
construction and engineering industry in California and Oregon managing large
state and federal projects such as seismic retrofits for bridges and interstate
highway improvements.
Subsequently he was hired by a design-build company where he managed business
parks, residential subdivisions, and other land development projects. An
innovative leader in the early days of the wind energy industry, Mr. Weden
provided engineering services for the first commercial wind farms in the state
of Oregon and in the province of Manitoba. In 2003 he brought his engineering
expertise to the service of his hometown community and established Weden
Engineering, LLC. Mr. Weden is professionally licensed in Washington, Oregon,
and in Manitoba, Canada.
He enjoys spending time with his family and finds deep satisfaction as a volunteer member of various community boards and commissions. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Wind Energy Association, American Public Works Association, and the American Water Works Association. He serves on the Ferndale Economic Development Commission and was recently appointed Chairman of the Board for Ferndale's large retail E.A.G.L.E. Ordinance. |

SARA S. WEDEN, M.B.A. CONTROLLER
Sara Weden is the controller and office manager for Weden
Engineering. She holds a B.A. from Washington State University and a M.B.A. from
University of Phoenix. In her positions as senior contract administrator for
various public and private projects, her duties have included contract review,
insurances, pay estimates, final project submittals and hiring and training new
employees.
Along with raising their two daughters, Sara is very involved in community
projects and routinely volunteers her time for various charitable projects.
Currently she serves as Chair of the Ferndale Economic Development Commission
and is busy coaching her daughters' athletic teams. She also enjoys fishing and
upland game hunting.

TONI VAN MALE, P.E. SENIOR ENGINEER
Toni Van Male is a senior project engineer with over 17
years experience designing and managing a variety of civil projects. She earned
a B.S. in civil engineering and the equivalent of a minor in Japanese from
Gonzaga University. As a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame she
focused on groundwater and surface water hydrology.
She has designed and managed a wide range of civil projects that include
rainwater harvesting; drinking water modeling, conveyance and operation;
treatment / water reuse systems; Low Impact Development (LID) and sustainable
site planning; stormwater management and drainage basin analysis; and
environmental permitting. She is intent on elegant, efficient engineering
solutions that meet developmental standards while mitigating and minimizing
environmental impacts.
Toni is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer and is professionally involved with the American Water Works Association, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and American Society of Civil Engineers. She chooses to spend her vacations volunteering in third world countries as well as supporting local charities and community. With her husband and two young children, she enjoys kayaking, mountaineering, swimming, camping and hiking. |

KENNETH L. STANLEY ENGINEERING DESIGNER
Kenneth Stanley is a senior engineering designer with a
professional land surveyor's license and an E.I.T. certificate. In his 20 years
of experience in the fields of civil engineering and surveying, he has designed
all aspects of commercial, industrial, institutional and residential projects.
His work includes roadway layout, utility design, grading, and plan preparation
from preliminary to final record drawings. His resume includes many projects for
the university and various school districts: the Lincoln Street park and ride
for WWU, Bill McDonald Parkway improvements, site design for Squalicum High
School and Kulshan and Horizon Middle Schools. He currently sits on the civil
engineering advisory board for Bellingham Technical College.
Having grown up on a farm in rural Virginia, Kenny continues to pursue the joys of country life raising horses and gardening on his “estate” here in Whatcom County. Occasionally he and his wife host a barbecue pig pickin' social where their guests are treated to food and hospitality – southern style. |

RYAN G. SMITH ENGINEERING DESIGNER
Ryan Smith is a civil designer and technical support
specialist. He received an A.A.S. from Whatcom Community College and earned
Microsoft Certification as an IT professional.
With more than 15 years experience in the civil engineering field, he has worked
as a survey technician, designer, draftsman, IT consultant, and project manager
in large scale subdivisions, commercial, residential and municipal projects. He
is proficient in a wide variety of software applications including Autodesk Land
Development Desktop, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, Pro/E, ArcView, WWHM3, and HEC-RAS, to
name a few.
With their three children, Ryan and his wife enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, and hunting as well as being involved with church activities. Ryan is a fanatic when it comes to Boise State Football and is often seen wearing a blue and orange jersey around the office. |

RANDY SCHNACKENBERG INSPECTOR
Randy Schnackenberg is a public works inspector with more
than 21 years experience as a heavy-civil equipment operator and project
supervisor. He is a certified erosion and sediment control lead (CESCL) and has
intimate knowledge of local municipal development standards and Washington State
DOT Standard Plans and Specifications.
Randy's hands-on experience and calm demeanor are invaluable as he quickly
establishes a trusting relationship between contractor, engineer, agency, and
owner. He has been responsible for inspecting and documenting the installation
of public and private streets, utilities and all other right-of-way
improvements.
Randy and his wife spend most of their free time raising their son and breeding show horses on their county farm. |

KATHE DOMINGUE ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR
Kathe Domingue is the accounting administrator for the
office but her responsibilities are much broader than the title implies. From
timely paychecks to financial records, customer service, and management reports,
she makes sure that every aspect of the office functions smoothly – a task which
she accomplishes with her repertoire of tactical skills and sense of humor.
When not at the office, Kathe tends to her menagerie of goats, dogs, and cats at
home and enjoys accompanying her husband on hunting trips (no loss of irony
there!) A transplant from Louisiana, she creates delicious cajun dishes which
are eagerly consumed at our office potlucks.

RUSSEL K. MORRIS, P.E. ASSOCIATE
Russell Morris has more than 30 years experience in all
types of construction projects in the energy, commercial, industrial, and retail
fields. His resume includes designing and constructing facilities for the
nuclear, solar, petrochemical, HV electrical transmission, and wind industries.
Since 1982, he has been involved in wind projects of more than 4000 megawatts
and has been responsible for the project design, construction and installation
of over 750 wind turbines.
Russ is a licensed professional civil engineer and holds a B.S. in civil
engineering from the University of California at Davis. Memberships include the
American Society of Civil Engineers, the Safety Assessment Program for the
Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, and the U S Steel forensic analysis
team.

DENNIS J. BOEGER, P.E. ASSOCIATE
Dennis manages and designs a variety of residential,
commercial, and light industrial projects. His extensive experience of more than
20 years covers water and wastewater systems, grading, drainage, traffic signal
and channelization, and street and intersection design.
As project engineer for numerous governmental agencies in southern California,
he managed large municipal projects such as the E05P03 master drainage facility
and Lakeview Avenue Widening project in Yorba Linda and the Seaside Avenue water
transmission line at the Port of Long Beach. His duties included contract
administration for capital improvement projects, coordination of public works
staff, and review of city projects designed by private consultants.
Dennis is a professional engineer licensed in Oregon and Washington and holds a
B.S. degree in civil engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology. He
received an Emerging Small Business Certificate in Oregon and is the Engineering
Board Member of the Oregon Onsite Wastewater Association.
